Difficulty
Easy word searches use a 12 × 12 grid with words running left to right or top to bottom. There are no diagonal or backward words. Compare the word lists to choose a familiar topic.
Medium word searches use a 15 × 15 grid with words running right, down, or diagonally down-right. Words are not placed backward. Preview each list for the vocabulary you want to practice.
Hard word searches use an 18 × 18 grid with words in all eight directions, including backward and diagonal placements. Review each word list to choose a topic and spelling challenge.
